Your First Prompt

A detailed walkthrough on generating your very first optimized prompt using the Forge.

The Forge is the heart of PromptEase. It transforms vague ideas into highly structured, paste-ready prompts that yield predictable results from AI models. Let's build your first prompt.

Phase 1: Selection

Before typing anything, you must select your workflow. The Forge uses different underlying LLMs and reasoning frameworks based on your selection.

1

Open the Forge

Click the glowing '✦ Forge Prompt' button in your left sidebar.

2

Select a Category

Click on 'Text & Writing'. Notice how the UI adapts to show writing-specific sub-options.

3

Define the Outcome

In the title input, type exactly what you want (e.g., 'A cold email to a tech CEO about a new SaaS tool'). Press Enter.

Phase 2: The Interview

The Forge will now act as a prompt engineer interviewing you about your request.

  1. Question 1: Target Audience. The Forge asks who will read this. Select 'Tech Executives' from the dynamic options.
  2. Question 2: Tone. Select 'Professional but aggressive'.
  3. Question 3: Extra Context. A text box appears asking for the product name and value proposition. Fill this in.
  4. Generation: Click the 'Generate' button.
You can skip any question by clicking 'Skip'. The Forge will infer the best defaults based on your previous answers.

Phase 3: Review & Export

Once the generation finishes, you will be taken to the Prompt Result screen. Here you can see the raw markdown prompt. You can copy it to your clipboard with one click, or export it as a PDF.
